The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition + 4 More - Steam Deck Tested | May 20
Kia ora Everyone!
We’ve had one stunner of a week weatherwise! Crisp, clear autumn days, blue skies and sun shining! Unfortunately we’ve got rain forecast for the next couple of days, and today is already threatening rain and overcast. All good though, we’re rugged up on the boat, cranking away on our own tasks.
While Eben has been coding his butt off, I’ve been steadily working on the new individual game pages, improving metadata and tidying up other bits of the website. Would be nice to step away for a bit, but we both feel guilty when we do. If we do sneak in a break, we end up thinking about all the stuff we should be doing instead. Catch-22 if ever there was one. Anyway, there are some fun games this week, a few from my fave genre, which made testing even more enjoyable. Hope you all had an awesome weekend and that you’re having a fantastic week so far!

This week featuring The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition and Sunderfolk.
Worked out of the box and ran smoothly in testing. Not really my genre, so I won't pretend to be a fan. But with both seasons (10 episodes!) plus the new Shadows Mode all bundled together, it looks like a decent pickup for any Batman fan!

I really enjoyed testing this one. Then again, I'm biased: I loved playing Gloomhaven, and Sunderfolk is very similar in both look and mechanics. If you like that sort of thing, you'll enjoy this too. Solo testing was fun, but I'll need to get Eben to tear himself away from coding for a proper gaming session.

This week featuring Lethal Honor: Order of the Apocalypse, 60 Minutes to Extinction: Escape Room, Survival: Fountain of Youth.
What a potty-mouthed superhero! I felt like I was playing some kind of Deadpool game, and it was crack-up. The graphic novel artwork, commentary, and gameplay are all fun and easy to pick up. Keen to play more and chase down some achievements.

I was hooked at the first puzzle! This one's staying on my Steam Deck until I manage to play through it! I've said it before, so forgive me, but I LOVE these types of games! I showed restraint and didn't go above my allotted testing time. The game itself gives you 60 minutes to complete it. Might give it another crack tonight to see if I can!

This one got me hook, line, and sinker, but then again I do LOVE this genre. I gathered up so much stuff I overburdened myself too many times to count. I had a lot of trouble trying to spear a crab. I think it took me 30 minutes, on and off, before I finally got one. Those suckers are fast! Heads up for GOG fans: this is on the Dreamlist right now, so go cast your vote!

Next up on the free games front:
Epic Games: Epic has 2 mystery games this week, just like last. Wonder what they’ll be?
Amazon Prime Gaming: Three GOG codes dropping on May 21:
- Space Grunts
- Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room (whoop whoop, another escape room game!)
- Hot Brass
We’ll get these tested once they’re live.
