About This Game
A 2D side-scrolling role-playing game in which the chosen hero has already failed and one of the villain’s own underlings, the little Masked Kid, takes the job instead. Combat is turn-based without the turns: you dodge, parry and attack on timing, and hitting on the beat of the music gives you critical hits. The enemies still think of you as a colleague, so you can talk to them mid-fight for tips, jokes and lore. It is drawn in pixel art, takes Paper Mario and other Nintendo role-playing games as its models, and ends with you going after your own boss, Mr. Stitches. The store page carries a seizure warning for flashing imagery.
