About This Game
You play Talion, a Ranger of the Black Gate who loses his family and his own life in the opening and comes back bound to a vengeful wraith. The pull of it is that Sauron’s orcs hold on to their fears, weaknesses and memories of you, so you can work out who to break and turn the army against itself from inside. It is set before The Lord of the Rings. Several online features were switched off at the end of 2020, including the Nemesis Forge transfer to Shadow of War, Vendetta missions and the leaderboards. The GOG row is the Game of the Year Edition, which adds the Season Pass missions, among them one that has you play Celebrimbor wielding the One Ring.
