You need to set the platform to DOSBox from the cog menu on the game screen: Game Configs > ADVANCED > platform > Dosbox. Save the config change and launch the game.

About This Game
A Dungeons & Dragons strategy game about carving out an empire against as many as four computer opponents drawn from a field of twenty. A computer Dungeon Master narrates and referees the whole thing, while you recruit humans, elves, orcs, dwarves and undead, send heroes off on quests and build fortifications.
